The Uzhhorod Association of Teachers of English was created in 1999 when 30 local teachers trained in the Siena College Teacher Training Program. The Association actively helps member teachers gain access to information, learn new teaching skills, and integrate instructional techniques into their school curriculum.
Teacher Resource Center
The Association has a teachers' resource center. Books, videos, and pedagogical materials were donated to the center by Americans for Democracy in Ukraine, Inc., (ADU) and Siena College.
Activities
The members of the Association meet monthly to share their expertise in methodology and discuss their student projects.
